Prospective landlords

Property owners in the city of Richmond can give families the chance to become more self-sufficient and improve their quality of life. As a landlord of RRHA, you also receive guaranteed rent each month. Owners like you are one of many dynamic partnerships we maintain with community members to provide quality affordable housing and community revitalization.

As a landlord participating in the Housing Choice Voucher Program, you receive:

Timely customer service. We greatly appreciate our landlords, and you will gain a direct line to RRHA staff to ask questions or voice concerns that may arise.

Good clients. RRHA conducts criminal history background checks on all potential tenants. Landlords are able to develop their own selection criteria, as well. A participating landlord is not required to rent to a family that does not meet all eligibility requirements.

Low vacancy rates. Because clients are looking for quality affordable housing, a Housing Choice landlord may not frequently have a vacant property.

Direct Deposit. We offer our landlords the option to receive rent deposited directly into a bank account. This also eliminates potential mishaps with ground mail.
