RICHMOND, VA—The process for doing business with the Richmond Redevelopment and Housing Authority (RRHA) will be shared with attendees of RRHA’s upcoming Virtual Vendor Fair, Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 10 a.m. This event, delivered virtually for convenience to participants, is a part of an ongoing series and is designed to provide detailed information on how RRHA conducts business as well as current and upcoming partnership opportunities.  Registration is required by emailing Assistant Procurement Director, Derek Brooks at derek.brooks@rrha.com or calling (804) 780-6184.

“This event is designed to inform and encourage organizations to partner with RRHA. We understand that diverse businesses help contribute to the overall economic growth and well-being of the communities we serve. Establishing strategic partnerships with our suppliers helps create value for our customers and provides the Agency with a competitive advantage.  RRHA  currently utilizes a wide range of goods and services from all types of businesses. We are committed to ensuring that every small, medium and large business who desires to partner with us has an opportunity to do so,” said RRHA CEO Steven Nesmith.

This Virtual Vendor Fair will walk potential vendors through the process of becoming a partner with RRHA, provide attendees with information on how to bid on RRHA projects, describe how bids are evaluated and how contracts are awarded.  In addition, attendees will also learn how to access, not only RRHA opportunities, but other government entities throughout the Richmond VA area and the Commonwealth of Virginia. Vendors will also be able to get all of their questions answered.

Although this and future RRHA vendor fair events are open to all who qualify,  Section 3 businesses are strongly encouraged to participate. Section 3 is a program of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, RRHA’s regulatory agency, and is designed to provide employment and training opportunities for low-income persons in the Greater Richmond area.
