The Youth Leadership and Employment Academy (YLEA) summer program provides workforce training and employment opportunities for youth and young adults aged 8-17 who live in public housing communities.
Available positions range from administrative to maintenance and provide valuable training and work experience, along with an hourly wage, during the summer months while students are out of school.
Applications for YLEA 2026 are now open through May 15. The summer pre-employment program runs from June 8–25, 2026.
