Emergency Housing Voucher (EHV) Landlord Meeting
RRHA is hosting a virtual meeting on Friday, May 29 at 10 am for landlords impacted by the EHV housing assistance program change. Meeting details will be emailed directly to landlords.
RRHA’s EHV Program Will End December 2026
The Emergency Housing Voucher (EHV) Program is approaching its federally mandated sunset. As HUD has communicated nationally, EHV funding was designed as a time-limited emergency intervention, and agencies across the country are now preparing for the closeout period.
What This Means for Landlords
We greatly appreciate your partnership in providing stable housing for EHV households. As the program sunsets:
- Our agency will ensure that all contractual obligations under the Housing Assistance Payments (HAP) contract are met through the final month of EHV subsidy.
- Participants may be evaluated for potential program transfers, and if eligible, those transitions will be coordinated with both the household and the landlord.
- We will provide timely updates regarding subsidy end dates, inspection procedures, and any other administrative requirements during the closeout period.
- Our team and our partners at Homeward will continue engaging with landlords who wish to participate in other HUD-funded housing programs.
