To further RRHA’s Board of Commissioners’ collaboration with the Richmond City Council and Mayor Avula’s Senior Leadership Team, RRHA’s Board Chair Eddie Jackson, Jr. and Vice Chair Harold Parker, along with all members of the Board of Commissioners will host a Retreat Session with Mayor Avula’s Senior Team, the Leadership of City Council and members of the Committee on Land Use, Housing and Transportation to get their feed-back on RRHA’s draft 5-year Strategic Plan.
The purpose of this retreat is to ensure that agency’s vision for the next five years is in alignment with the Mayoral Action Plan and the Richmond 300 Plan that has been approved by City Council. This Retreat Session will also seek to strengthen the alignment between the Board of Commissioners and the vision of City Council, the body that appoints the RRHA Commissioners to the Board.
Board Chair Jackson has asked RRHA’s CEO Steven Nesmith to coordinate a date and time, possibly in September, to hold the Retreat in accordance with the requirements and rules of City Council.
The retreat will bring together RRHA Board leadership, Mayor Danny Avula’s senior leadership team, Richmond City Council leadership, and members of the City Council Land Use, Housing and Transportation Committee to discuss RRHA’s draft Five-Year Strategic Plan and strengthen collaboration in support of Richmond’s residents.
