RRHA Hosts Virtual Vendor Fair for All Businesses

RICHMOND, VA–Businesses interested in doing business with the Richmond Redevelopment and Housing Authority (RRHA) can learn how at RRHA’s Virtual Vendor Fair, September 14, 2022 at 10 a.m. This event, which is part of an ongoing series, is designed to provide detailed information on how RRHA conducts business and current and upcoming partnership opportunities.  Registration is required by emailing Assistant Procurement Director, Derek Brooks at derek.brooks@rrha.com or calling (804) 780-4167.

“From a self-employed contractor to a large business with hundreds of staff, RRHA is open to doing business with them all. The Agency has numerous bidding opportunities throughout the year for many different types of goods and services. This Virtual Vendor Fair will walk potential vendors through the process and we really want everyone to participate, ask questions and learn that RRHA is a great partner,” explains Interim Chief Executive Officer, Sheila Hill-Christian.

These virtual vendor fair events are open to all who qualify. However, RRHA places special emphasis on Section 3 businesses. Section 3 is a program of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, RRHA’s regulatory agency, and is designed to provide employment and training opportunities for low-income persons in the Greater Richmond area.

Other information that will be shared is how to bid on RRHA projects, how bids are evaluated and how contracts are awarded.  In addition, attendees will also learn how to access not only RRHA opportunities, but other government entities throughout the Richmond area and the Commonwealth of Virginia.
