This summer, RRHA welcomes its second cohort of students, ages of 8–18 from each of our public housing communities for the 2nd Annual CEO Youth Leadership and Employment Academy (YLEA).
Applications are being accepted online for the program which has two sessions, July 11–29, 2022 and August 1–19, 2022. The deadline to apply is June 15, 2022.

Last year, 62 students participated, working with RRHA professionals in areas such as administration, office, maintenance, and technical occupations. The students learned a variety of skills including plumbing, landscaping, how to properly make and take telephone calls and messages, send emails, and make copies.

RRHA’s Resident Services division coordinates the effort. “In addition to the valuable work experience, students also participate in cultural enrichment and social skills building.”
